What is MyJSO?

Subsequential to Kancil Science Competition, 60 top winners from KSC will be invited in a postliminary contest named Malaysian Junior Science Olympiad. MyJSO is an annual national level contest for winners of KSC aims to obtain 6 of the best and the brightest contestant, the cream of the crop, to represent our beloved country Malaysia in the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2018.

Suitable to its name, MyJSO is specifically for students who are fifteen years or younger on 31 st December of the competition year. MyJSO will be held on 18th August 2018 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. The winners will be invited through email & official letter after the announcement of KSC result.

This year, IJSO will be held at Gaborone, Botswana on 2nd December - 11th December 2018. IJSO has been established in recognition of the significance of the Natural Sciences in the general education of young people and in all aspects of their lives. It is a purely educational event. IJSO aims are:

  • To promote and reward the pursuit of excellence in scientific endeavor.
  • To challenge, stimulate and encourage gifted students to further develop their talents in Natural Sciences.
  • To create friendship and relationships among students around the world from an early age.
